Source takes pride in its Community Spirit program. On this occasion, Source Langley and Abbotsford donated $2500 to JDRF. Founded over 40 years ago, JDRF is a global leader in the search to end type 1 diabetes (T1D). Committed to improving the lives of every person with T1D and curing the disease, JDRF funds research in over 20 countries. Moreover, JDRF’s research goals are realized by projects in three areas. Cure, Treat and Prevent. Furthermore, Source is fortunate to be in a position where we can donate to important causes as well as impact people’s lives.
Abbotsford store manager Brent Herron received a letter illustraiting the power of our donation. Through our contribution, we helped a young man named Sebastien from Newfoundland. Sebastien was diagnosed with T1D at seven years old. Not only did his family have limited knowledge of the disease but they also had to adapt to the new daily challenges. Thankfully, JDRF’s resources allowed Sebastien to become an independent young man who is well-versed in navigating the complexities of T1D. Furthermore, we feel honoured to know that our donation has improved someone’s life.
