The holiday season is fast approaching and our Community Spirit program is kicking into high gear! We value the opportunity to make a difference, and this year Source Edmonton is getting into the Christmas spirit by giving back. Furthermore, Source Edmonton is making donations to two local charities that play an integral role in caring for Edmonton’s vulnerable populations.
Marian Centre, located on 98 St. NW in Edmonton, provides food, clothing, and fellowship to those in need. The centre serves hot meals, distributes bagged lunches, and offers donations of clothes and small household items once a week. To help their efforts, Source Edmonton is accepting donations. Examples of acceptable donations are: non-perishable food items, new or gently used clothing, toys, and home products. The donation box is set up in our showroom and ready to receive! Please consider giving during this season of kindness.
Source Edmonton is also a long-standing supporter of Kids Kottage. KK provides a safe place and recovery resources to children and families in crisis. Last year our Edmonton staff undertook renovations in a portion of KK’s well worn offices. They repainted, replaced the flooring, and donated/installed new work spaces and seating. We were thrilled to do something for people who do so much for others, and this year the makeover continues! Source will be finishing the remainder of KK’s administrative space! This will give staff a beautiful and functional place to do their incredible work.
